DIY Pumpkin Masque

Untitled design-2.png

It's that time of year again, my personal favourite, Fall. With fall comes lots of pumpkins and lots of seasonal skin changes. We can be suckers for a nice smelling pumpkin candle or a pumpkin spice latte.... but did you know pumpkin can be used as a natural face masque and can benefit all skin types?  Pumpkin contains vitamins A and C which helps to boost collagen production while fighting aging. The fruit enzymes in pumpkin will exfoliate away dead skin cells leaving your skin feeling smooth and looking brighter. It is also very hydrating, and fights inflammation which aids in healing blemishes and sensitive breakouts.

Pumpkin Masque for Dry/ Dehydrated/ Aging Skin

  • 3 tablespoons Pumpkin Purée (from a pumpkin or a can of organic pumpkin purée)
  •  1 tablespoon of Honey

Pumpkin Masque for Oily Skin

  • 3 tablespoons Pumpkin Purée (from a pumpkin or a can of organic pumpkin purée)
  • 1 teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar

Pumpkin Spot Treatment for Age Spots

  • 1 tablespoon Pumpkin Purée (from a pumpkin or a can of organic pumpkin purée)
  • 1 teaspoon of fresh Lemon Juice

Mix ingredients together and apply to skin for 15-30 minutes, wipe clean.

* Try using any of the pumpkin masques of your feet to help with dry, peeling and callused skin
